El Centro se inaugur\u00f3 el pasado 13 de diciembre, en un acto celebrado en el Auditorio del Cubo Azul de la Ciudad Polit\u00e9cnica de la Innovaci\u00f3n, presidido por el Conseller de Econom\u00eda, Industria, Turismo y Empleo, M\u00e1ximo Buch, en representaci\u00f3n del M.H. President de la Generalitat; el Rector de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Valencia (UPV), Juan Juli\u00e1; el Presidente de Grupo Dominguis, Jos\u00e9 Dominguis, y el Consejero Delegado, H\u00e9ctor Dominguis. En el acto tambi\u00e9n intervino el Director del Instituto de Telecomunicaciones y Aplicaciones Multimedia (iTEAM) de la UPV y Premio Rey Jaime I de Nuevas Tecnolog\u00edas, Jos\u00e9 Capmany.<\/p>\n

Previamente al acto oficial de inauguraci\u00f3n, el Conseller, el Rector, representantes de las organizaciones empresariales y clientes, acompa\u00f1ados por el Presidente y el Consejero Delegado de Grupo Dominguis, visitaron las nuevas instalaciones del\u00a0Innovation Center<\/strong>\u00a0donde los investigadores del Centro dieron todo tipo de informaci\u00f3n sobre los trabajos en los laboratorios, sobre los proyectos en curso y los equipos que hab\u00eda en la exposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Este nuevo emplazamiento cuenta con 400 m2<\/sup>, y comprende los laboratorios: de ingenier\u00eda qu\u00edmica, de rob\u00f3tica e instrumentaci\u00f3n industrial, y de dise\u00f1o y desarrollo de proyectos. Tambi\u00e9n incluye una zona de exposici\u00f3n, en la que se muestran varios equipos y robots dise\u00f1ados por Grupo Dominguis, m\u00e1s una sala de reuniones, almac\u00e9n, vestuarios y despachos. Se inaugura con 14 proyectos en marcha orientados al sector de la energ\u00eda (nuclear, termosolar y e\u00f3lica), a la mejora de los equipos especiales de protecci\u00f3n radiol\u00f3gica, y a emergencias.\u00a0 La inversi\u00f3n prevista para 2013 es de un mill\u00f3n de euros.<\/p>\n

En su \u00a0intervenci\u00f3n de apertura del Acto, el Conseller, M\u00e1ximo Buch, ha felicitado a Grupo Dominguis por estos 80 a\u00f1os de esfuerzo en los que han demostrado su capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n, su esp\u00edritu emprendedor y su visi\u00f3n de futuro. Y ha apuntado: \u201cGrupo Dominguis es el modelo de empresa que perseguimos desde este gobierno: una empresa innovadora con proyecci\u00f3n exterior y que ejerce un importante efecto tractor sobre otros sectores industriales de nuestra Comunitat\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

El Rector de la UPV, Juan Juli\u00e1, ha manifestado tambi\u00e9n su satisfacci\u00f3n por este acuerdo con Grupo Dominguis para su instalaci\u00f3n en la CPI, por ser un claro ejemplo de la colaboraci\u00f3n Universidad\/Empresa. Ha destacado tambi\u00e9n la aventura empresarial con Titania, spin off en la que participa la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica. En su intervenci\u00f3n, el Rector ha destacado la importancia en la valorizaci\u00f3n del conocimiento y transferencia de resultados de investigaci\u00f3n: \u201cHay que hacer pol\u00edticas que incentiven esta transferencia, porque crear actividad basada en el conocimiento mejora la competitividad de las empresas<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

La Direcci\u00f3n de Grupo Dominguis considera estrat\u00e9gico el papel de Titania (Empresa de Base Tecnol\u00f3gica) y su colaboraci\u00f3n con la UPV para su crecimiento e internacionalizaci\u00f3n. \u201cEn los momentos actuales, los esfuerzos e inversiones que estamos dedicando a I+D+i, son absolutamente necesarios para mantener un alto grado de competitividad, y m\u00e1s en el fuerte proceso de internacionalizaci\u00f3n en el que estamos inmersos\u201d<\/em>, afirma H\u00e9ctor Dominguis. Asimismo, estima \u201cque la ubicaci\u00f3n en el parque cient\u00edfico de la UPV har\u00e1 posible la consecuci\u00f3n de los objetivos de desarrollo en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os y ser\u00e1 uno de los pilares de la creaci\u00f3n de sinergias entre nuestro equipo de I+D+i y los grupos e institutos de investigaci\u00f3n de la UPV\u201d<\/em>, asegura.<\/p>\n

Una historia de tres generaciones<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prior to the official opening, the\u00a0Counselor, the Rector, representatives from the various business organisations and clients, accompanied by Grupo Dominguis\u2019 President and the CEO visited the new facilities of the Innovation Centre, where the research personnel provided in-depth information regarding the work carried out in the laboratories, the projects underway and the equipment in the showroom.<\/p>\n

The new site measures 400 m2<\/sup>\u00a0and includes \u00a0a chemical engineering laboratory, a robotics and industrial instrumentation laboratory and a project design and development laboratory.\u00a0 It also includes an exhibition area highlighting several items of equipment and robots designed by Grupo Dominguis.\u00a0 It has been inaugurated with 14 on-going projects relating to the energy sector (nuclear, thermal solar and wind energy) and the enhancement of special emergency and radiation protection equipment.\u00a0 The investments foreseen for 2013 amount to one million Euros.<\/p>\n

The Management of the Group considers the role played by Titania and its collaboration with the UPV to be of strategic importance for its growth and internationalisation.\u00a0 \u201cThe efforts and investments that we are currently making in the area of R&D&i are absolutely necessary in order to maintain a high degree of competitiveness, especially in view of the important process of internationalisation in which we are involved\u201d, said H\u00e9ctor Dominguis.\u00a0 He also believes that the location of the centre in the UPV scientific complex will allow the development objectives to be achieved in the coming years and that it will be \u201cone of the building blocks for the creation of synergies between our R&D team and the UPV research groups and institutes\u201d.\u00a0 The rector of the UPV, Juan Juli\u00e0, has also spoken in these terms, underlining the significance of the business venture with Titania, a spin-off in which this academic institution is participating.\u00a0 In his intervention, Juli\u00e0 stressed the importance of \u00a0knowledge appreciation and the transfer of research results.\u00a0 \u201cThere is a need for policies encouraging such transfers, because creating activity based on knowledge improves the competitiveness of companies\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Councillor for Economy, Industry, Trade and Employment, M\u00e1ximo Buch, congratulated Grupo Dominguis\u00a0for its 80 years of effort, during which time it has demonstrated its capacity to adapt, its entrepreneurial spirit and its forward-looking vision.\u00a0 He stressed: \u201cGrupo Dominguis is the type of company that this government is striving for: an innovative company with an international projection that has an important knock-on effect on other industrial sectors in our region\u201d.<\/p>\n

Avant la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie officielle d\u00b4ouverture, le Ministre de la R\u00e9gion Valencienne d\u00b4Industrie, le Recteur, les repr\u00e9sentants des organisations professionnelles et les clients, accompagn\u00e9s du CEO et du Pr\u00e9sident Directeur G\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Grupo Dominguis, ont visit\u00e9 les nouvelles installations de l\u00b4Innovation Center<\/strong>\u00a0o\u00f9 les chercheurs du Centre ont donn\u00e9 toutes sortes d\u00b4informations sur les travaux en laboratoires, sur les projets en cours et les machines qu\u00b4il y avait en exposition.<\/p>\n

Le nouveau site s\u2019\u00e9tend sur 400 m2<\/sup>, il comprend des bureaux, un laboratoire d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie chimique, un laboratoire de robotique et instrumentation industrielle et un autre de conception et d\u00e9veloppement de projets. Il compte \u00e9galement une zone d\u2019exposition o\u00f9 sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s diff\u00e9rents appareils et robots con\u00e7us par Grupo Dominguis. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 avec 14 projets en marche, orient\u00e9s vers le secteur de l\u2019\u00e9nergie (nucl\u00e9aire, thermo-solaire et \u00e9olienne) et l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des appareils sp\u00e9ciaux pour des situations critiques. L\u2019investissement pr\u00e9vu pour 2013 est d\u2019un million d\u2019euros.<\/p>\n

La Direction du Groupe consid\u00e8re comme strat\u00e9gique le r\u00f4le de Titania et sa collaboration avec l\u2019UPV pour sa croissance et son internationalisation. \u00ab\u00a0\u00c0 l\u2019heure actuelle, nos efforts et investissements en R+D+i sont absolument n\u00e9cessaires pour pr\u00e9server un niveau \u00e9lev\u00e9 de comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9, notamment pour le processus d\u00e9cisif d\u2019internationalisation dans lequel nous sommes plong\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb a affirm\u00e9 H\u00e9ctor Dominguis. Il estime en outre que la situation dans le parc scientifique de l\u2019UPV permettra d\u2019atteindre les objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement ces prochaines ann\u00e9es, et qu\u2019elle repr\u00e9sente \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019un des piliers de la cr\u00e9ation de synergies entre notre \u00e9quipe de R+D et les groupes et instituts de recherche de l\u2019UPV\u00a0\u00bb. C\u2019est dans ce sens que s\u2019est exprim\u00e9 le recteur de l\u2019UPV, Juan Juli\u00e0, soulignant lui aussi l\u2019aventure engag\u00e9e avec Titania, spin off o\u00f9 participe cette institution acad\u00e9mique.
