Se celebran cada 4 a\u00f1os y vuelven a Europa tras Se\u00fal 2020 y Orlando 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Valencia coger\u00e1 el testigo del <strong>17<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> IRPA International congress<\/strong> bajo el lema <em>\u201censuring radiation protection for future\u201d.<\/em> Ser\u00e1, sin duda, una gran oportunidad para que los profesionales en Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica de Europa, junto a invitados del resto del planeta, se re\u00fanan y debatan los temas clave del sector; y una gran oportunidad para escuchar y compartir experiencias con los actores internacionales clave, incluidos la CIPR, el OIEA, la OMS, la NEA y muchos otros, sobre sus programas y prioridades presentes y futuras.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>La Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sepr.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEPR<\/a>)<\/strong>, responsable de la organizaci\u00f3n y candidatura de este evento, fue fundada en 1980 y cuenta con m\u00e1s de 560 miembros de todos los sectores: m\u00e9dico, industrial, investigaci\u00f3n, educaci\u00f3n, organismos reguladores\u2026Se trata de una sociedad activa, que tiene como principales objetivos la difusi\u00f3n y desarrollo de la Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica en todos sus \u00e1mbitos de aplicaci\u00f3n. Promueve, adem\u00e1s, la colaboraci\u00f3n entre los profesionales, mediante la creaci\u00f3n de v\u00edas de interacci\u00f3n con la sociedad que permitan transmitir con rigor y objetividad los riesgos asociados al uso de las radiaciones y las mejores pr\u00e1cticas de protecci\u00f3n.\u00a0Para nuestra compa\u00f1era <strong>Patricia Mayo<\/strong>, Coordinadora de formaci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n en Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica de <strong>GDES<\/strong> , se trata sin duda de un \u201cclaro reconocimiento a la amplia experiencia en todos los campos relacionados con la Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica de los profesionales de nuestro pa\u00eds y del fuerte compromiso de todos los miembros de la SEPR para estar, como se ha demostrado con este nombramiento, en los m\u00e1s altos c\u00edrculos de la sociedad cient\u00edfica mundial\u201d.\u00a0Desde <strong>GDES,<\/strong> como empresa de origen valenciano, miembro activo de la SEPR con m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os de experiencia trabajando en el sector nuclear y \u00a0a trav\u00e9s de su <strong>Unidad T\u00e9cnica de Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica<\/strong> en otros sectores relacionados con las radiaciones ionizantes; queremos expresar nuestro orgullo y nuestra m\u00e1s sincera felicitaci\u00f3n a La Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Protecci\u00f3n Radiol\u00f3gica. It is held every 4 years and will return to Europe after Seoul 2020 and Orlando 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Valencia will take up the baton of the <strong>17th IRPA International Congress<\/strong> under the motto <em>\u201cEnsuring Radiation Protection for the Future\u201d<\/em>. It will undoubtedly represent a great opportunity for Europe\u2019s radiation protection practitioners to meet with each other and with attendees from the rest of the world and discuss key issues for the industry; and a great opportunity to listen to and share experiences with key international players, including the ICRP, IAEA, WHO, NEA and many others, on their current and future programmes and priorities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spanish Society for Radiological Protection (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sepr.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEPR<\/a>)<\/strong>, which will be in charge of organising and running this event, was founded in 1980 and has more than 560 members from all sectors: medical, industrial, research, education, regulatory bodies, etc.It is an active society that seeks to disseminate and develop radiation protection in all its fields of application. It also promotes collaboration between professionals through the development of channels for dialogue with society to provide rigorous and objective information on the risks associated with the use of radiation and the best protection practices.\u00a0For our colleague <strong>Patricia Mayo<\/strong>, Radiological Protection Training and Innovation Coordinator at GDES, this is undoubtedly a \u201cclear recognition of a broad experience in all fields related to radiation protection for professionals in our country and the strong commitment of all SEPR members, demonstrated by this appointment, to take their place in the highest circles of the global scientific community\u201d.\u00a0GDES, a Valencia-based company and an active member of SEPR, has more than 30 years&#8217; experience in the nuclear sector and other sectors that deal with ionising radiation through its Radiological Protection Technical Unit; as such, we would like to express our pride and sincere congratulations to the Spanish Society for Radiological Protection.
