Un proyecto compuesto de 6.000 m2&nbsp;de espejos y 182 m\u00f3dulos Fresnel con una potencia pico de 3.5 MW t\u00e9rmicos, capaces de cubrir el 10% de la demanda de vapor de esta f\u00e1brica.<\/p>\n<p>Nacida en 2016 como una peque\u00f1a empresa de ingenier\u00eda, Solatom ha pasado por varias aceleradoras europeas; La empresa ha patentado su propia tecnolog\u00eda de \u201ccalderas solares\u201d con el objetivo de desarrollar una<strong>&nbsp;alternativa renovable a las calderas convencionales de combustible f\u00f3sil<\/strong>&nbsp;que se utilizan actualmente en los procesos industriales.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El primer prototipo se ensambl\u00f3 en un garaje en la localidad de Oliva y desde entonces han implementado su tecnolog\u00eda en multinacionales como Heineken y Unilever. En 2020 la plataforma internacional Mission Innovation estim\u00f3 el potencial de reducci\u00f3n de emisiones a largo plazo de la tecnolog\u00eda <strong>Solatom <\/strong>en 68 millones de toneladas de CO2 al a\u00f1o, lo que les posicion\u00f3 <strong>como primera soluci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola y 6\u00aa mundial en su ranking de innovaciones contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Solatom <\/strong>utiliza una t\u00e9cnica llamada&nbsp;<strong>CSP<\/strong><strong> (Concentrated Solar Power). Una tecnolog\u00eda madura, ampliamente testada, que Solatom ha patentado en versi\u00f3n modular para la industria, apropiada para generaci\u00f3n de calor de alta temperatura.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los sistemas de concentraci\u00f3n solar reflejan la luz mediante espejos, concentr\u00e1ndola para poder alcanzar alta temperatura. La compa\u00f1\u00eda valenciana va un paso m\u00e1s all\u00e1 en el uso de esta tecnolog\u00eda, con un dise\u00f1o <strong>modular<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>ligero, transportable<\/strong>&nbsp;y de&nbsp;<strong>bajo coste<\/strong>, capaz de dar respuesta a la gran demanda de calor en la industria actual.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Calor industrial mediante energ\u00eda solar que ahorra entre un 35% y un 63% del consumo energ\u00e9tico.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Las calderas solares de Solatom son capaces de alcanzar hasta 450 \u00baC temperatura, y 30 bares de presi\u00f3n, permitiendo operar en las mismas condiciones que las calderas convencionales usadas en la mayor\u00eda de las f\u00e1bricas. Adem\u00e1s, con un peso de tan s\u00f3lo 25 kg\/m<sup>2<\/sup>, permiten tambi\u00e9n su instalaci\u00f3n en cubiertas ligeras.<strong>&nbsp;El calor se genera <\/strong>en forma de vapor, aceite t\u00e9rmico, agua o aire, siendo un complemento perfecto a las instalaciones de autoconsumo energ\u00e9tico industrial, ya que permiten&nbsp;<strong>ahorrar entre un 35% y un 63% del consumo energ\u00e9tico<\/strong>&nbsp;de las calderas convencionales.<\/p>\n<p>La generaci\u00f3n de <strong>calor industrial mediante energ\u00eda solar<\/strong>, sin consumo de <strong>combustible f\u00f3sil<\/strong>, supone tanto un <strong>ahorro econ\u00f3mico como una mejora ambiental. Under this agreement, the Valencia-based business group <strong>GDES Efficiency<\/strong> \u2013 which specialises in optimising energy resources \u2013 will add solar thermal energy to its range of industrial solutions, complementing its photovoltaic systems.<\/p>\n<p>Solatom, headquartered in Valencia, has set the standard in Spain following construction of the world\u2019s largest industrial Fresnel solar thermal power plant at the Heineken Spain facilities in Quart de Poblet (Valencia). The project comprises 6,000 m2 of mirrors and 182 Fresnel modules with a peak output of 3.5 MWth (megawatts thermal), capable of covering 10% of the factory\u2019s steam demand.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2016 as a small engineering company, Solatom has participated in several European accelerators. The company patented its own \u201csolar boiler\u201d technology with the aim of developing a <strong>renewable alternative to the conventional fossil-fuel boilers<\/strong> currently used in industrial processes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first prototype was assembled in a garage in the town of Oliva and since then their technology has been deployed by multinationals such as Heineken and Unilever. In 2020, the international Mission Innovation platform estimated the long-term emissions reduction potential of <strong>Solatom<\/strong> technology at 68 million tonnes of CO2 per year, which positioned it as the <strong>number one solution in Spain and sixth in the world in its ranking of innovations to combat climate change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Solatom uses a technique called <strong>CSP (Concentrated Solar Power)<\/strong>.<strong> This mature, widely tested technology, which Solatom has patented in a modular version for industry, is suitable for high-temperature heat generation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CSP systems use mirrors to reflect and concentrate light to achieve high temperatures. The Valencia company goes one step further in the use of this technology, with a <strong>modular<\/strong>, <strong>lightweight<\/strong>, <strong>transportable<\/strong> and <strong>low-cost<\/strong> design, capable of responding to the high demand for heat in industry today.<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><em>Solar heat for industrial processes saves between 35% and 63% of energy consumption.<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Solatom\u2019s solar boilers are capable of reaching temperatures of up to 450\u00baC and 30 bars of pressure and can therefore operate under the same conditions as the conventional boilers used in most factories.
