GD Energy Services has been distinguished as the IBERDROLA Award winner for 2015 in the Competitiveness and Innovation category, during a ceremony held at the Torre Iberdrola building in Bilbao.<\/p>\n
The Managing Director of GD Services, H\u00e9ctor Dominguis, was handed the award by the Iberdrola Director of Innovation, the Environment and Quality, Agust\u00edn Delgado.<\/p>\n

These awards are aimed at encouraging and recognising sustainable development, quality, internationalisation, innovation, corporate social responsibility, job creation and the prevention of occupational risk in the business management of suppliers.<\/p>\n
GD Services has won this recognition for its commitment to technology development as one of its main building blocks for growth, thereby widening its scope of activity, and also for promoting on-going improvement and meeting the new needs of its clients.<\/p>\n
The occasion was attended by more than 200 guests, including a wide representation of suppliers from different autonomous regions and sectors, as well as by other IBERDROLA managers, the chairman of the company in Spain, Jos\u00e9 Luis San Pedro, the corporate director of the Spanish subsidiary, Fernando Becker, and the director of procurement, As\u00eds Canales.<\/p>\n
In his intervention, San Pedro underlined the strategic importance for the company of relations with suppliers when selecting the best equipment for its national and international energy projects: \u201cThese awards aim to recognise the value of the contribution made by our suppliers as a key element in the development of our business. At the end of the day, you are a prolongation of the IBERDROLA image and for this reason we demand of you the same excellence that we demand of ourselves\u201d, he claimed.<\/p>\n
The chairman of IBERDROLA Espa\u00f1a also reiterated that the awards are an example of the company\u2019s commitment to excellence: \u201cIBERDROLA works, and will continue to work, with excellent and sustainable suppliers, and in this respect establishes clear mechanisms for leverage and measurement, with specific resources dedicated to this task within the procurement division and personal objectives established for the management team linked to the on-going improvement of the ratios of sustainability of our suppliers\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
