[:es]Los congresos internacionales IRPA suponen para la comunidad científica y profesional en Protección Radiológica su principal punto de encuentro a nivel global. Se celebran cada 4 años y vuelven a Europa tras Seúl 2020 y Orlando 2024.
Valencia cogerá el testigo del 17th IRPA International congress bajo el lema “ensuring radiation protection for future”. Será, sin duda, una gran oportunidad para que los profesionales en Protección Radiológica de Europa, junto a invitados del resto del planeta, se reúnan y debatan los temas clave del sector; y una gran oportunidad para escuchar y compartir experiencias con los actores internacionales clave, incluidos la CIPR, el OIEA, la OMS, la NEA y muchos otros, sobre sus programas y prioridades presentes y futuras.
La Sociedad Española de Protección Radiológica (SEPR), responsable de la organización y candidatura de este evento, fue fundada en 1980 y cuenta con más de 560 miembros de todos los sectores: médico, industrial, investigación, educación, organismos reguladores…Se trata de una sociedad activa, que tiene como principales objetivos la difusión y desarrollo de la Protección Radiológica en todos sus ámbitos de aplicación. Promueve, además, la colaboración entre los profesionales, mediante la creación de vías de interacción con la sociedad que permitan transmitir con rigor y objetividad los riesgos asociados al uso de las radiaciones y las mejores prácticas de protección. Para nuestra compañera Patricia Mayo, Coordinadora de formación e innovación en Protección Radiológica de GDES , se trata sin duda de un “claro reconocimiento a la amplia experiencia en todos los campos relacionados con la Protección Radiológica de los profesionales de nuestro país y del fuerte compromiso de todos los miembros de la SEPR para estar, como se ha demostrado con este nombramiento, en los más altos círculos de la sociedad científica mundial”. Desde GDES, como empresa de origen valenciano, miembro activo de la SEPR con más de 30 años de experiencia trabajando en el sector nuclear y a través de su Unidad Técnica de Protección Radiológica en otros sectores relacionados con las radiaciones ionizantes; queremos expresar nuestro orgullo y nuestra más sincera felicitación a La Sociedad Española de Protección Radiológica. It is held every 4 years and will return to Europe after Seoul 2020 and Orlando 2024.
Valencia will take up the baton of the 17th IRPA International Congress under the motto “Ensuring Radiation Protection for the Future”. It will undoubtedly represent a great opportunity for Europe’s radiation protection practitioners to meet with each other and with attendees from the rest of the world and discuss key issues for the industry; and a great opportunity to listen to and share experiences with key international players, including the ICRP, IAEA, WHO, NEA and many others, on their current and future programmes and priorities.
The Spanish Society for Radiological Protection (SEPR), which will be in charge of organising and running this event, was founded in 1980 and has more than 560 members from all sectors: medical, industrial, research, education, regulatory bodies, etc.It is an active society that seeks to disseminate and develop radiation protection in all its fields of application. It also promotes collaboration between professionals through the development of channels for dialogue with society to provide rigorous and objective information on the risks associated with the use of radiation and the best protection practices. For our colleague Patricia Mayo, Radiological Protection Training and Innovation Coordinator at GDES, this is undoubtedly a “clear recognition of a broad experience in all fields related to radiation protection for professionals in our country and the strong commitment of all SEPR members, demonstrated by this appointment, to take their place in the highest circles of the global scientific community”. GDES, a Valencia-based company and an active member of SEPR, has more than 30 years’ experience in the nuclear sector and other sectors that deal with ionising radiation through its Radiological Protection Technical Unit; as such, we would like to express our pride and sincere congratulations to the Spanish Society for Radiological Protection. Valence prendra le relais du 17th IRPA International congress sous la devise « ensuring radiation protection for future ». Ce sera sans aucun doute une grande opportunité pour les professionnels de la radioprotection en Europe, ainsi que pour les invités du reste du monde, de se rencontrer et de débattre des questions clés du secteur ; et une excellente occasion d’écouter et de partager des expériences avec les principaux acteurs internationaux, y compris la CIPR, l’AIEA, l’OMS, la NEA et bien d’autres, sur leurs programmes et priorités actuels et futurs.
La Société espagnole de radioprotection (SEPR),responsable de l’organisation et de la candidature de cet événement, a été fondée en 1980 et compte plus de 560 membres issus de tous les secteurs : médical, industriel, recherche, éducation, organismes de réglementation…Il s’agit d’une société active, dont les principaux objectifs sont la diffusion et le développement de la radioprotection dans tous ses domaines d’application. Elle favorise également la collaboration entre professionnels, en créant des modes d’interaction avec la société qui permettent de transmettre avec rigueur et objectivité les risques liés à l’utilisation des rayonnements et les meilleures pratiques de protection. Pour notre collaboratrice Patricia Mayo, Coordinatrice de la formation et de l’innovation en radioprotection de GDES, il s’agit sans aucun doute d’une « reconnaissance claire de la vaste expérience des professionnels de notre pays dans tous les domaines liés à la radioprotection et de l’engagement fort de tous les membres de la SEPR pour se retrouver, comme l’a montré cette nomination, dans les plus hautes sphères de la société scientifique mondiale ».
